Too much hype.. in my opinion...
Yesterday around 2,700 people died from malaria. Around ten people died from swine flu.
The last major flu pandemic, in 1968, killed around a million people.
Malaria kills a million people each and every year.
Ok..WHO says
A child dies of malaria every 30 seconds.
There were 247 million cases of malaria in 2006, causing nearly one million deaths, mostly among African children.
Malaria is preventable and curable.
Approximately half of the world's population is at risk of malaria, particularly those living in lower-income countries.
Travellers from malaria-free areas to disease "hot spots" are especially vulnerable to the disease.
Malaria takes an economic toll - cutting economic growth rates by as much as 1.3% in countries with high disease rates.
MEANWHILE

The three main seasonal flu strains COMBINED (H3N2, H1N1 and type B) cause 250,000 to 500,000 deaths a year globally (equivalent to 685 to 1,370 deaths per day) according to WHO
It's true that swine flu is highly infectious and that there's currently no vaccine. But, when you take away the hype, you've got a handful of deaths in one country from a variant of flu that's neither untreatable nor deadly.

NO NEED TO BE SORRY...
